Who We Are.
We provide an exclusive educational experience featuring intimate class sizes. As a Christian school, we emphasise the incorporation of Christian ethos, morals, and values into our curriculum. Our holistic approach extends to various facets, including on site swimming, an integral part of our school curriculum. In addition to fostering academic excellence, we prioritise computer studies and dedicate a weekly lesson to the study of the Bible.
In the realm of sports, we engage external qualified coaches to train our students in a diverse range of sporting activities, ensuring a well rounded and comprehensive physical education. Beyond academics and sports, we take immense pride in our cultural accomplishments, and our active participation in events such as the Alberton Eisteddfod showcases our commitment to fostering a rich and vibrant cultural environment
The Code of Conduct defines a set of behaviours that are acceptable or unacceptable within our school. The Code includes rules that govern the conduct of learners and relations between learners, educators, parents and the owner of the school.

MUST READ FOR PARENTS
Discipline System
- Discipline is always approached from the point of view of remediating unacceptable behavior.
- A copy of the school rules and discipline system will be put in the learners’ communication file. It is expected that your child adheres to the school rules at all times.
Homework
- Homework is given on a daily basis. If your child wishes to maintain a good quality education, all homework must be done diligently and to set deadlines.
Messages For Learners
- Under no circumstances will our secretaries accept and relay messages from parents to learners during the school day.
- No keys, lunch, books, PE kit etc. may be dropped off at the office.
- Learners are old enough to take responsibility for items left at home and must learn to accept the consequences.
- If lunch is left at home and the educator is made aware of this, we will ensure that other learners share their lunch.
School Hours
- Please ensure that your child is at school on time every day. Not only do latecomers disturb the other learners in the class, and miss the first part of the lesson, but they often get into trouble through no fault of their own, as many rely on their parents to get them to school.
- We would advise that you get your child to school at least 15 minutes before the bell rings. This will ensure that your child has enough time to go to the bathroom etc. before school starts.
Parent Contact Details
- It is critical to send a written copy of any changes of telephone numbers or other contact details to the secretary’s office immediately so we can update our records.
Physical Contact
- Please note that we do not allow any form of cuddling, hand holding, kissing, among others, between learners.
- Should learners be caught behaving inappropriately the relevant disciplinary action will be taken. No physical contact is allowed at any time on or near the school premises.
Written Communication With Educators
- Please date all correspondence, as very often a learner may forget to hand a letter to the educator immediately, and it then appears as if the educator has not taken the necessary action requested timeously.
- If the correspondence is of a confidential nature please send it in a sealed envelope.
- The communication file will be checked regularly, so if there is something small that you wish to bring to an educator’s attention, it is quite acceptable to leave a quick note in the file. Remember – no problem is too small to bring to the educator’s attention.
DRESS CODE
Please always adhere to the school dress code. Uphold the image of the school with pride. During transitional periods between seasons, students will be allowed to wear either the summer or winter uniform based on the prevailing weather conditions. The specific times for these transitions will be clearly communicated. We kindly ask that students do not mix uniforms and adhere to wearing only one type during these transitional periods.
ABSENTEEISM
Please notify the school if your child is absent. Learners absent for 2 days or more require a doctor’s note. Should a learner miss a test/exam/assessment, a doctor’s note is required.
COLLECTION OF LEARNERS
We cannot stress enough the importance of collecting your children on time. They have a very long day and look forward to going home to unwind and complete work/start studying. There is a 15-minute allotted time for collection and a 15-minute grace period, totalling 30 minutes after your child finishes school. Thereafter, they are left unattended on the school property. Please understand this is not acceptable according to our values. This stresses the learners, and we want to avoid this at all costs. If you anticipate being a few minutes late, it is the parent’s responsibility to communicate with the school so that we can ensure your child is attended to. An aftercare facility is available at an additional cost where learners can start their homework and have a meal.
CHANNELS OF COMMUNICATION
We encourage parents to communicate with the school. Here are some examples:
– A note to the teacher via the homework book/diary.
– A WhatsApp message can be sent to the school cell phone to be passed along.
– Alternatively, an appointment can be made to have a sit down meeting at the school.
ASSESSMENT
Assessments are crucial for your child’s progress. We send breakdowns or demarcations on the class WhatsApp group so parents know what their child will be tested on and how to help them prepare adequately. If your child is absent, please remember to provide a doctors note.
